Handheld leaf blowers, what should I buy?

You might allready know that there are many types of leaf blowers on the market, one of them being the handheld portable ones. These handheld blowers also have different power systems, and in this post i’m going to show you a couple of the pros and cons of such devices.

Cordless handheld systems:

They work with batteriesthey are light and easy to usethe offer great mobilitythey are usually not very powerfulthey can only run for around 30-30 minutes between charges (and one charge usualy takes a couple of hours)they are quite expensive

Electric handheld systems:

They must be connected to a power line, thus you will always have a power cord attached, and this gives you reduced mobilitythey are well priced, quiet and pollution freethey are powerful enough for small standard jobs

Gas hanheld blowers:

They provide the best mobilityare the most powerful of the handheld leaf blowerssome of them might be too heavy to operate by hand, because of the bigger engines they havethey are a little more noisy and they pollute the environment (they burn gas)they are usually quite expensive

That’s about it. According to your needs, you should choose the type of handheld blower from the ones above. I for one am a fan of the gas powered ones, but if you don’t have a big lawn or backyard, you could settle with an electric or even a cordless one.
