Protection equipment is a definite must when using leaf blowers
When you’re using leaf blowers and vaccums, I recommend you to use protection equipment.
I’m going to enumerate in the following lines the things you should use:
- goggles – protect your eyes from dust and debriefs (example)noise canceling earmuffs – protect your ear from noise (example)gloves – protect your hands (example)
From the ones above, goggles are a must for whatever type of blower you use. Ear protecting might be necesary only when you use gas powered blowers, because electric blowers are nowadays extremely quiet so they should not bother you. As fot the gloves, when working in the garden you might have to use your hands and grab things, thus they are requiered. If you just blow away the leaves on the deck, you could live without.
You might think I’m paranoiac or something, but I’ve seen quite a lot of nasty accidents happening exactly because people don’t use such protection equipment. So, better paranoiac then on the emergency room, ay?
